The bullion stitch (also called caterpillar stitch, coil stitch, knot stitch, post stitch, worm stitch, Puerto Rico rose, grub knot) is an interesting stitch used to make simple motifs. It is basically an ‘elongated’ knot which can be used liberally to group together and make dense textures. This stitch gives an embossed look.
